Coheelee Creek Covered Bridge

George W. Andrews Lake

Just a couple miles down the road is George W. Andrews Dam on the Chattahoochee River.  The West Bank Recreation Area offers a picnic area with a pleasant view of the dam.  This is a good location to see a few gulls in winter and perhaps Bald Eagles, along with other birds attracted by the river.

Kayaking and Canoeing

The creek runs through limestone cliffs and there were many areas of shoals. The stretch of the creek next to the campground is very pretty and wooded.  Local kayak clubs often paddle down the river but this is one activity that takes a little more skill!
